This is a Grade II Listed Building finished in lime render and with feature brick & stone around the perimeter. To blend seamlessly with the original cottage we proposed a two storey extension and single storey addition in stone with anthracite metal details and render facades. The new elements sit beautifully with the main building, being part of it rather than an addition. It was a challenge to source the right stone to match the existing, and even more important to have the approval from the planning department. The aim was to have an extension which opened onto the garden with a bigger kitchen and a sitting area which compliments the exterior. The extension to the first floor provided the client with a modern ensuite and a dressing room area.
